SAMITA MISHRA MEMORIAL FOUNDATION FOR CANCER RESEARCH
Samita Mishra Memorial Foundation for Cancer Research is a nonprofit organization working actively to spread awareness about cancer in common people to save as many lives as possible. Cases of cancer in India are increasing at an alarming rate and India stands on rank one in most number of oral cancer cases. The most common types of cancer cases seen in India are Oral Cancer, Breast Cancer and Cervix Cancer and all these can be treated if detected at an early stage. Common people can be made aware of common symptoms of Cancer so that they can go for check-ups to detect cancer cases at very early stages.
What We Do

CANCER AWARENESS
Initiating more than 10,000 awareness camps in schools, colleges and workplaces.

EARLY DETECTION
Facilitating early detection for more than 30 lakh people through 25,000 camps with the help of mobile detection vans across urban and rural India per Year.

CANCER CURE
Disbursing over a 100 crores each year through the Cancer Cure Fund. To treat more than 3,000 underprivileged patients every year. Through leading cancer hospitals across the country RESEARCH AND LEARNING.

Research through the Cancer Registry. Learning programmes through symposia and conferences. Indian Journal of Cancer for the medical fraternity REHABILITATION & SURVIVORSHIP.

Providing affordable prosthetics to Cancer survivors. Providing psycho-social and community adjustment services to cancer patients.

Awareness
Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide and often creates fear which comes out of ignoranceand misconception. Cancer Bhagao strongly believes that “Cancer is Curable, When detected Early” .
